Entering your date of birth is different from proving your age. When entering it, you provide a date yourself. During an age check, you may need to show that the date is correct.
Do you live in the Netherlands or Belgium? Follow the explanation for your message. An announcement for Europe does not mean that everyone undergoes the same check. Being asked for your date of birth also does not mean that a European law requires everyone to send an identity document to TikTok.
Do you have to share your date of birth publicly on TikTok?
No, you do not need to put your date of birth in your bio, a video or a comment to answer an age question. Provide the date only through the official steps shown in the message.
