At the top of a profile, only ‘Zeus’ may appear. That profile name is not the same as the username with the at sign. Is someone sending you a profile? Compare the full username, not just the name or photo you recognize.

How do you check a Zeus profile on Instagram?
Consider multiple clues together. A well known photo, many followers or the word ‘official’ in the name does not, on its own, prove who manages the account.
- Compare the full username. Look for extra dots, letters and underscores. Do not rely only on the profile photo.
- Look for a reference outside the profile. Is there a link to the account on a personal website that you are certain belongs to the person? That is a stronger indication than a profile that calls itself ‘real’.
- Review earlier posts. Pay attention to whether the posts remain consistent with one another over time. This can help, but copied images can also seem convincing.
- Look at what a blue badge does and does not say. The blue checkmark is not proof of wealth, ownership or the truth of all posts.
According to Meta’s explanation of verification there are badges for well known accounts and badges through paid Meta Verified. A blue badge therefore does not mean that Instagram approves all of that person’s statements.
Can you find no reliable confirmation outside the profile? Then do not assume that the account is real. Is someone calling themselves Zeus asking you for money or a login code?
