How to add a website to your TikTok bio
Use the separate field for a website or link. A web address in your regular bio text is not the same as a clickable link. The name and location of the field may differ between app versions.
- Open the page you want to share. For example, do you want to add a recipe to your cooking video? Open that recipe in your browser, not the website’s home page.
- Copy the full web address. Include
https://it as well, and make sure you do not copy any spaces. - Go to your TikTok profile. Find the option to edit your profile details.
- Find the field for a website or link. Check whether you can enter your own web address there. Is the option missing? Then read below what you can check.
- Paste the address and save it. Then return to your profile.
- Have someone else test the link. Ask that person to open your profile and tap the link. Does the correct page appear?

When can you add a clickable link to your TikTok bio?
Check two things: can you enter a website, and can others see the link? Being able to save an address is not enough.
TikTok’s explanation of account permissions mentions General TikTok Account, Advanced Access and Verified Business Account. With Advanced Access, you can sometimes edit a bio link without others being able to see it.
A personal account is not a Verified Business Account
Verified Business Account means a verified business account. According to TikTok, business verification is available in the Netherlands and Belgium. TikTok lists bio links as a feature for these accounts, but availability may differ by country or account.
Do not assume that switching from a personal to a business account is enough. Do you have a business? First check which verification TikTok offers for your account before changing anything.
Do you need 1000 followers?
Do not treat 1000 followers as a fixed threshold that gives every account a clickable link. Review the conditions TikTok displays for your account. Also check whether your profile has a website field.

What should you do if your TikTok bio link is missing or does not work?
First find out where the problem occurs. Can you not enter an address, can others not see the link or does the wrong page open? The table shows what you can do for each problem.

Choose one website or multiple links for your TikTok bio
Link directly to a page if you want to share one thing. Do you want visitors to choose from several things? Then a link collection page may be useful. This is a small web page with multiple links, also called a link in bio page.
- One recipe, article or sign up: link directly to that page. Your visitor will not have to search further.
- A shop and a newsletter: consider using a link collection page with two clearly named choices.
- Multiple social channels: put the links on a clear overview page if you do not want to choose one channel.
Open the chosen page on your phone. Do you see the most important content immediately? Is it clear what you can tap? Remove old links from a link collection page and place the link from your recent video at the top.
Is a bio link the same as Destination Links?
No. A bio link appears on your profile. Destination Links are a different link feature used in videos. Access to one feature does not mean you can use the other.
Explain where your TikTok bio link leads
Write in your bio what someone will find behind the link. “The full recipe is below” says more than “click here”. These fictional examples show how to make your text and link complement each other:

If you say that the link leads to a recipe, take visitors to that recipe, not to a page with all kinds of offers.
Adjust your bio text when you change the link. Also think about older videos that still refer to your profile. Do you change links often? Then make sure visitors can also find previously shared content on your link collection page.
