First, look at the top of your inbox and ask whether someone has shared a recent Note with you. Can\u2019t you see it there either? Then check your app and connection. They remained visible for 24 hours and were intended for mutual followers or close friends. This may have changed since then.<\/p>\n<p>In the app, open your private messages overview and look at the top. Also check whether you are using the right account. Perhaps you have a separate profile for your hobby alongside your personal profile.<\/p>\n<p>Is there nothing there? Ask someone you know whether there is a recent Note that you should be able to see. Without such a Note, it is difficult to check whether anything is missing.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"notities-van-anderen\">Why can\u2019t I see other people\u2019s Notes?<\/h2>\n<p>If you are missing a Note from one person, first check whether it is still visible and was shared with you. Ask them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can you still see your own Note?<\/li>\n<li>When did you post the Note?<\/li>\n<li>Which group did you share the Note with, and is my account part of it?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mutual followers means that you follow each other. Close Friends is a group chosen by the sender. So the fact that you follow someone does not mean you can see every Note from that person.<\/p>\n<p>A fictional example: your sister tells you about a Note, but you see nothing. Ask her which group she shared the Note with. Reinstalling the app will not help if your account is not part of that group.<\/p>\n<p>A missing Note does not tell you why you cannot see it or whether someone deliberately left you out of the group.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"notities-controleren\">What can you do if Instagram Notes are missing?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/instagram-notes-not-showing-fixes-3387719\/\">Android Authority lists, for missing Instagram Notes,<\/a> the selected audience, an outdated app and temporary technical problems as possible causes. Therefore, check the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Ask about a recent Note.<\/strong> Ask someone you know whether there is currently a Note shared with your account. This way, you are not checking something that may have already disappeared.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Close Instagram and reopen the app.<\/strong> Then check your inbox again. This is a simple test, but it does not always solve the problem.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check whether you can update the app.<\/strong> Search for Instagram in your phone\u2019s app store. Install an update if one is available. Is there no update? Continue with the next step.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Test your connection.<\/strong> For example, open a regular web page. Does that not load either? Then try another connection if one is available.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check other parts of Instagram.<\/strong> Do messages and profiles load properly? Write down exactly what is not working. If more parts are stuck, the issue may not be limited to Notes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Try again later.<\/strong> Does it work then? In that case, you do not need to change all kinds of settings immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also ask whether others are having problems at that moment. If more people notice the same thing, the problem may be more widespread. That does not yet prove that there is a general outage.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"notities-per-account\">Why can I see Instagram Notes on my other account?<\/h2>\n<p>Your accounts are not automatically part of the same recipient group. Can you see Notes on one account but not the other? First check whether you should be able to see the same Note on both accounts.<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>What do you notice?<\/th>\n<th>What do you check first?<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>You are missing one specific Note.<\/td>\n<td>Ask the sender when the Note was posted and which group it was shared with.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>You do not see Notes on any of your accounts.<\/td>\n<td>Check a recent Note that was shared with you. Then check your app and connection.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>The entire feature is missing on one account.<\/td>\n<td>View both accounts on the same phone and write down what differs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Other parts are not loading either.<\/td>\n<td>Test your connection and try Instagram again later.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Should you be able to see the Note on both accounts, but is there still a difference? Mention that when you report the problem. The difference does not prove that your account is restricted. It is also not a reason to switch account types without a clear reason: you do not know whether that will help.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"probleem-met-notities-melden\">When should you report missing Instagram Notes?<\/h2>\n<p>Report the problem if it keeps occurring after these checks. In Instagram, look for help or an option to report a problem. The name and location may differ between app versions.<\/p>\n<p>Include this information in your report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whether you are missing one Note or cannot see the entire feature.<\/li>\n<li>Since when you have noticed this.<\/li>\n<li>Which phone model and app version you are using, if you can find them.<\/li>\n<li>Which checks you have already carried out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also add a screenshot.
