So don&#8217;t look for this option only on the creator&#8217;s page.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Check who uploaded the video.<\/strong> Look at the channel name, not just the title or image.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open the options for the recommended video.<\/strong> Choose <strong>Don&#8217;t recommend channel<\/strong> if you no longer want suggestions from this creator.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t see that option?<\/strong> Try a recommendation on Home or Up next. Don&#8217;t keep looking for the same option under a search result.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>On your computer, click the options; on your mobile, tap them. The location and available choices may vary. Suppose you enjoy cooking videos but keep getting match reports from a particular channel recommended. In that case, choosing that channel is more suitable than changing your entire viewing behaviour.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toch-zichtbaar\">Why can you still see a YouTube channel after blocking it?<\/h2>\n<p>With <strong>Don&#8217;t recommend channel<\/strong> you adjust your suggestions. You do not remove the channel from search results or block direct links. This choice also does not guarantee that the channel will stay away in every situation where another video plays automatically.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing another unwanted video? Check two things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Where is the video shown?<\/strong> A search result is different from a recommendation on your home page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Which channel uploaded the video?<\/strong> Another creator may use the same topic, the same guest or a similar image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So a familiar title does not necessarily mean that YouTube has failed to process your earlier choice.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"youtube-kids\">Block a YouTube Kids channel for your child<\/h2>\n<p>In YouTube Kids, parents can block videos and channels. A channel block only stops videos from that channel. Follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtubekids\/answer\/7178746?hl=en&amp;ref_topic=12984703\">instructions for blocking in YouTube Kids<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>First, take the device your child watches on. Check whether your child uses YouTube Kids rather than regular YouTube. Then see which channel uploaded the unwanted video. This helps you choose the right channel when several creators post similar clips.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose you block a channel with scary cartoons. This does not automatically stop all scary cartoons. So also check other videos your child comes across, not just that one channel name.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"feedback-wissen\">Clear previous choices for YouTube recommendations<\/h2>\n<p>Through My Activity, you can clear your feedback: your previous choices for <strong>Not interested<\/strong> and <strong>Don&#8217;t recommend channel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Want to watch just one video again? First try searching for the title or channel. You don&#8217;t need to clear your previous choices straight away.<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to remove those choices? Read the confirmation carefully before continuing. Check what will be cleared: don&#8217;t assume that you are only removing your choice for one channel. Clearing choices also does not mean that a particular video will immediately appear on your home page again.
